i use Nolvasan that's used widely in aviaries and veterinary hospitals...it can be bought online. Its a little expensive, between $29 and $50 a gallon depending on where you get it, but only 1 to 3 ounces is mixed with a gallon of water for use, so lasts forever. Nolvasan is good because it kills not only bacteria but viruses and fungus and is safe for reptiles...some websites have it in, i think, the pint size for only $9.95.
