The chances are less than getting it through cooking but if it slows down parents who are buying reptiles for young children, then advertise it. If it scares you , then you don't need the pet.

Hygene is the key. If you clean the poop in the cage and then eat without washing up, then you may get sick. Mom said to wash your hands before eating for a reason.

Salmonella in an hrealthy adult is nothing more than diahrea.
