The pieces are about 1/4 -1/2 inch or smaller. I use all fresh food and serve it fresh. On the fourth day, it doesn't look or smell as appealing. So about 3 days. The food processor does a great job with squash. If you get puree, try another blade. I use one blade for greens, snow peas, okra and green beans and another blade for squash, sweet potatoes, carrots, etc.

I add blueberries or rapseberries, etc on top.
