She's about 12-15 inches away fron her light...could that be the problem? We are soon in the process of building a new cage so it's good to know how far away she should be from her basking light.
: Roxy is the same way. Her spikes are really crazy LONG!
: How close to the basking light is Lou? Sometimes *too* close can cause the spike to be brittle and dry and stuff. Also, I am a huge fan of 100% pure, natural aloe vera gel on the spikes. Roxys are much longer and stronger now since I started using it. I used to use it once a week, now I just do it whenever, probably once every 2-3 weeks I just slather a bunch on all the spikes.
