Introducing new items to Elizabeth's enclosure

Today I purchased a lovely rock (not a heat rock) to add to Elizabeth's enclosure. Well, she went crazy. She hissed and ran around the cage. I have never seen her behave in this manner. Needless to say, I did remove the rock.

Has anyone ever experienced any similar? I must admit, I am totally perplexed. Could it be the color of the rock? It is brownish-green. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
