Hi all!
I posted a little while down about my iggy Wasabi that I have
found a new home for... the perspective new owner wanted a fecal
done first since he already has one iggy.. I was fine with that
since it meant he's going to a good home....
Anyways... so took my iggy in after the fecal came back
positive for hookworms.

We weighed him in at 1.6 lbs (he is about 2 1/2 and a little over
3' STL w/full tail). Vet (Dr Look at crocker animal hospital
in san jose) says to give him one (pre-measured out) dose
of fenben (pancur) once a week for 4 weeks.
This is fine since he doesnt' go to his new home for about 4
weeks anyways. I gave him the first dose friday... man that
was trama! Wasabi is not that tame, he is territorial in
his cage, so I held him still with a towel well I "caught"
wasabi, holding the back legs against the body and lightly put the towel over him and I gently pulled his dewlap with my other hand and
had the boyfriend squirt the meds in.

The meds are in a syringe, I was expecting an oral syringe (big
hollow tube end, like you see from the dentist) but it was
a needle! (big needle none-the-less, but a needle) We were both
worried about the needle sticking him so we were very
slow and careful. I was wondering, is there an easier way
to do this? Any recomendations that would make this go
faster and easier for wasabi? It seemed stressfull to him.

No one had anything to offer from my other post... but I figured
it never hurts to ask and maybe someone could give some
suggestions so this won't be so stressfull next time.
I was thinking trying it late at night when he's sleepy? Would
that help?
Well thanks to anyone who replies! :)
