Okay K.Ray I am dealing with the same situation as we speak. It's very frustrating but you can't give up. I've been told to approach him slowly, and from underneith. Approaching from above only makes him assume you a predator! Um, when he tailwhips, and tries to squirm away keep control of him, being careful of his tail, and once he calms try and caress him and talk nicely. My iguana HOSS is just as wild and I'm trying these same techniques right now! Don't let him scare you away as he'll assume he's one the first of many battles with you! You could also try and cover his head with a small towel to calm him down. And another thing I've been told which I haven't exactly done yet is to take him to the bathroom and let him roam with you in there. Make sure all hazards are put away and block any escape routes. Once your in there don't handle him but let him get a taste of you being around. That might build trust. Just stick with it and be PATIENT,PATIENT,PATIENT!!!! As far as that FULL SPECTRUM bulb. Get rid of it and get a UVB/A bulb preferably made by Reptisun. I heard that was the best as of yet!! Full spectrum doesn't give off the necessary UV for Calcium uptake, so that might help a little!!! PERSISTANCE is the key here!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!!
