It's not commercially intended for mites and if diluted won't hurt Hoss..

The color of weak tea. Betadine is used for all kinds of skin ailments..burns, scrapes, cuts, abrasions, broken or lost claws. Do your best not to let him drink the water, it's not intended for internal use. I'm not exactly sure how or why it helps a mite infestation...it may be the soaking more than the Betadine. It certainly will help any skin problems caused by the mites.
