Good luck. It HAS been done but I am not sure how. Seems to me that the iguana has to be worn out. My Woodstock was loose for months. My Louie was loose for about one month and he stayed in the same general area. There are three more loose iguanas in Virginia that I am aware of. All seem to stay in the general area. As it gets cold, it may be easier to catch. They will stay near to homes for the warmth.
