PROTEIN?!?

Do most of you out there feed your igs protein. My iguana refuses to touch his food if I include alfalfa, wheat bread etc. in it. I've tried grinding the alfalfa into dust and sprinkling it on his food and he can still tell that it's there. With the bread, I tear it into tiny pieces and moisten it, and sure enough, he won't come near his food. Even the "burrito" approach with a piece of greens doesn't work. Should I give up, or are there any other foods out there that have significant amounts of plant protein in them.. any suggestions are greatly appreciated......thanks
