Some iguanas are harder to tame than others. I've had my iguana for 5 years and I've handled him almost everyday but he's still afraid of me, just a little. He isn't too aggressive, nearly all the time he just closes his eyes when I put my hand in his cage, he's very passive. But when he gets out of his cage and I try to catch him, he darts. I have no intention of giving him up though.
: Wow really sounds like a hard situation. I have a female iguana who is pretty fiesty herself but others on the forum have aggresive males and will be able to help you much more....
: I just wanted to say it nice to see someone trying to get help before just dumping the iguana.
