and yeah, don't make a big dramatic change in his diet, gradually add more greens as you reduce the amount of dry food ... if he goes on a total hunger strike, you might be changing things too fast for his liking ...
there's a good chance tho that he's gonna totally LOVE fresh greens/vegies, once he gets a taste of 'em!

slice/chop the greens + other vegies so they're nice thin/small pieces + moisten them with water ... depending on what he's used to, either put the 'pebbles' on top or mix them in with the salad ~ kinda like iggy-croutons!
