2 questions

I have 2 general questions regarding my newly rescued iguana.

1. I am leaving for a week vacation soon and I am wondering if it is okay to leave his T-Rex dry food in his vivarium while I am gone. Usually I mix in fresh greens and dampen the commericial food, but since I am leaving I wonder if it is okay to do this. This ig is around 1 year of age.

2. My ig's spikes are coming off and I am wondering if they will ever grow back. If not, why?
