Speaking of eggy iguanas...
I have documented footage of the weeks prior to egglaying
and how the female's body and habits change, also the egglaying
itself and the aftercare post egglaying of my green iguana Sammy.
She lay 41 eggs last year in Tokyo, Japan, and it was her third time laying eggs.
This footage was used on a professional CD ROM sold in Japan on Green Iguana care.
It is an excellent and clear case study for anyone who would like to see
the process involved and how a healthy female should lay her eggs, and
what healthy eggs look like.
Also on the video:
My green iguana SAmmy and I like to take walks outside together.
She knows her way around the block and will walk/trot right beside me
down the road making the correct turns, etc with no leash. She runs ahead when she sees our house coming
and will wait at the door for me to catch up and even knock! This footage as well as Sammy in training
in on this video, but in the training part she is already at a very advanced stage and only
needs my verbal cues to tell her what to do. Yes iguanas can be this tame and they are very smart and very aware!
Also, there is footage of the second biggest reptile expo in the USA, the International
Reptile Breeders Assoc Expo. You will see a large rhino iguana, a spiny tail iguana,
a large adult brown cayman iguana, as well as many baby cyclura iguanas.
Also other reptiles; snakes, beardies, uromastyx, chams, monitors, torts, etc etc etc.
In the expo footage it shows how to choose a CALM baby iguana.
This is great for anyone who has never been to a reptile expo before.
Finally, at the end there is footage of my baby Blue Iguana Sapphire
(the calm baby chosen at the expo), this footage is very cute.
Price is $15 per video which includes shipping etc. and each video comes with
an egglaying timeline to further clarify the egglaying process.
Email me for further details. it seems everyone who has watched this video
has been enjoying it, and all proceeds go the save the Blue Cayman Iguana, second
most critically endangered lizard in the world.
