hey everyone.. I wanted to keep you all posted on how adams doing. So far his condition is the same, although he seems to have a little brighter spirits...he's a little more alert but still dizzy.. he dosent make a ruckus when i try to pick him up now.. He got 2 hours of natural sunlight yesterday...He still hasnt eaten or deficated.. He has a vet appointment on monday, so i'll find out the whole story...ive still been giving him his warm baths and pedialyte on a regualr basis... He still sticks his tounge out a little bit.. anyone know what that can be from?
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know approximatley how big a 5 year old iguana should be?? He definatley seems small for his age. His previous owner told me he kept him in that small tank all his life so he wouldnt grow because he didnt want him to get big. I felt like slamming this guys head through the tank...
My vet is experienced with reptiles and will know exactly what to do. Until monday im just gonna keep doing what ive been doing.. Unless theres something seriously wrong internally(besides severe dehydration, starvation, and possibly an internal blockage) i think his chances of making it are pretty good.. he's pretty beaten up, but the scars will heal, and the hydration and starvation will take time but hopefully he will recover. Besides chicks dig scars (hide your female iguanas)!!
hopefully he dosent have any serious infections or diseases or any other internal damage....... I'll keep you guys and gals posted on the final word from the vet..........
phil......
