Bloody Mouth? Has this happened to you??

Okay when I was about to give "Hoss" his bath earlier I noticed that his mouth had blook inside it, although I wasn't sure it was blood, so I purposely put my finger near it so he'd bite me, and when he did I did see blood on my finger. Why would there be blood there? The only thing I could think of was while trying to get him out of the aquarium he might have hit the glass causing his mouth to bleed. If that is the case will it be ok, and if it wasnt' the case what else could it be....Huh??? I am clueless....If you kno wwhat I can do let me know!!!! Thanks!!!!
