Hey all!
Well.. long story short.. I was searching for a new home for
my 2 1/2 yr pet iguana (have had since a hatchling). In the
long run I know he will be happier (and so will I). I don't
want to go into all that... but anyways.. some of you might
remember a few pics and things I've posted here over the
year about my iggy.
I was posting to some iguana groups, and found a guy from the
IML who lives right by me... he is taking Wasabi! Yay! I am just
so happy to have found a *good* home for him.. that was my main
fear.
The guy asked me to get a fecal test done before he takes Wasabi
(he has another iggy and doesn't want to chance his getting
infected from mine) I had never taken Wasabi to the vet
before (bad me!).. so took a sample in to get him checked..
just got off the phone, he was positive for hookworms. I guess
I should be happy that is all there was... I have to take him
back in to get weight and checked ($55 eek!). I was wodnering
what to expect the vet to perscribe? Antibiotic shots? Something
I'll have to feed him like a pill? I am pretty confident in
my vet (he's seen one of my boas before and was very knowledgable)
I am just curious what to expect. I want to make sure he will
prescribe the right things...
thanks all...
