I have two iguanas, both adults, and they're both very territorial. When they're inside their room, (they're both free roamers who are only caged when outside) Habib, the female is the Queen, and Bobbit (the male) is the subordinate iguana. When he tries to approach her, or even cross her path on the way to his basking spot, she lunges at him to bite him. I have to be careful and make sure they're not fighting.
But...interestingly enough, when they're *outside*, in their outside cage, Bobbit is the KING. If Habib even approaches where he is, he bobs like crazy and warns her not to come near.
So they each have their staked out territory.

The weirdest part of all is that when they're not in their territorial spots (ie, when they're in a neutral room or space) they seem to get a long much better. There's hardly any fighting then. It's usually only when they're in "their spots" that they fight.

I guess what I'm trying to say is this: you never know when/if they will fight, and they can be awfully territorial. I wouldn't try housing two iguanas in a cage 24/7. Two may share an entire iguana room, provided they have plenty different basking spots and sleeping areas etc. but to keep two in a cage around the clock is just asking for trouble.

Hope this helps you in your decision!
Diana
