What I'd do is give your ig a nice warm bath...let him soak pretty good, gently with a warm wash cloth (old) clean away as much of the exudate as you can. If you can buy some povidone-iodine sold as hospital antiseptic at major drug stores. Also brand name "Betadine" ....that alway worked wonders on my iggies rostral abrasions. Triple anti-biotic is ok too...but for some reason always took longer to heal than just the betadine in morning and night. Betadine also has anti/bacterial properties to prevent infection. If you don't see any improvement in 2 days or if your ig has done more damage than you thought....I'd get him to a vet.
Also please look into providing some kind of visual barrier....either butcher paper, newspaper something taped to the outside of his enclosure....or modify lighting arrangements what ever you may need to do to prevent him from bashing against the glass. Why is he doing this anyway???
New ig? Breeding Season? Wants to go outside? Any changes in your home recently that is stressin him out?
