I'd skip the kale. As w/spinach, I've read in several places kale contains a certain vitamin/mineral/something that Ig's can't process & therefore store up to potentially toxic level.

When I first got my Ig's I fed kale too...but after having read those articles now use 90%collards, mustard & turnip greens (not necessarily all at the same time) and 10% fruits and veggies. They love the dandelion greens too.

Don't know what part of the country/world you live in, therefore what kind of fruits & veggies are readily available, but here in Texas we get "Mexican Papayas" in the summer. They're like regular ones but allot bigger. My kiddos love those. Also within that 10% I might also give use grapes or apples and they love zucchini, yellow squash, occasional bean sprouts. I also by cilantro occasionally (thats getting back to the greens category, but I never feed much of it at once). If you're not familiar w/Mexican food (in which you typically find cilantro used) it's sold similar to parsley bunches but the leaf is a different shape and the smell if very distinctive.

What you're already doing sounds great. . .just thought I'd share some of my kids fav's in case you're looking for new ideas.
Enjoy!
Rebecca

: Hi everyone, I have 2 iguanas...one i got from a petstore who is now 7 months old and one i rescued from someone and the ig is 6 years old.
: Draconus = 7 months old, 60grams, 17" long.
: Marigold = 6 years old, 0.93kg, 34.5" long.
: Marigold was malnourished and is getting up to health now. however he lost 1 and a half inches of his tail and the vet is removing another 6 inches because of an infection.
: DRaconus has an infection at the end of his tail from the petstore and its a black ball regrowth now.
: I feed them collard greens, dandelion, kohlrabi, escarole, kale, b-nut squash, red peppers, green beans, parsnips. and occasional fruit..(and they steal pizza).
: Draconus lives in a 55 gal tank at the moment but has a cage that is just about ready for him that is 4x3x2...just until i have another big one. Marigold is in a 8x5x3.3 cage but is mostly a free roamer.
: Anyone have any suggestions?
: I am not like others and wont trash your comments.

: krissy
