So far, from what I've seen everyone's steered you in the right directions with links and books. Get your hands on Hatfield's book ASAP. It will, most likely, answer most, if not all of your questions. The sites offered will also help out immensely.
Also, bear in mind that every one of the questions that YOU asked has been already asked by countless numbers of people before you. It's not that people are frustrated with YOU necessarily but it gets a bit hard seeing and answering the same questions repeatedly. Try not to take it personally. The fact that you are familiar with herps, in general, already gives you a leg up on a LOT of people.
Get Hatfield's book. Check out ALL of the links that everyone's thrown at you. You WILL get conflicting information the more you research - I guarantee it. Make notes about anything that may confuse you. Come back here with those questions. We'll try and help as much as we can out here but, as you know with snakes, you're going to have to dig up the majority of your info yourself. We'll do what we can to make sure that you get up and running right the first time but you've got to help us out in educating yourself as much as possible....;)
Your first homework assignment, if you will...;)
What are you planning on keeping this new ig in for an enclosure when it arrives on Sunday ?
What are you planning on feeding it ?
What are you going to use for heat/light/UV sources ?
Concentrate on those three questions first. Let us know the answers.
