an emory board to file *lttle* nails works great! worked with iZ for a long time ...

if you use clippers, might be helpful to get a little penlight/flashlight and shine it thru the nail ~ that way you can *see* where that little vein is + avoid it easier ...

i like human nail clippers ~ important to replace them frequently so you have a nice, *sharp* clippers ~ otherwise it puts a bit too much pressure on the nail when you "snip" (+ makes iZ jump + give me dirty looks, even tho it's nowhere near too short ...)

the 2-person thing doesn't work for iZ at all ~ i think he feels like he's being ganged up on or somethin', but he gets MUCH more defensive if it's not *just* me ... just another one of those things that's gonna vary with every ig ... :)

try just kinda playin' with his toes whenever you're holding him ~ get him used to feeling that + may help so he doesn't react as much when you actually clip/file them ...

and i don't think i've ever managed to get ALL iZ's claws at once either ... so don't push it if Freddy say "enough!" after just one hand or foot ... just do another one tomorrow ...

good luck!
