: I have a hood with the florescent light, another bright light, and the red night light. I understand the red light is for night time viewing, but is it necessary for her to have it when she sleeps? I have always used it. She is four and healthy. Will she sleep better without it? Please advise.
i use the black nightlight that simulates moonlight quite well. I also do it first for heat and second because Gibil also sleeps up on his highest branch and i think it helps him if he wakes up in the night...iguanas have moonlight in the wild without it effecting their sleep and the moon is much brighter than this light...and he's dead to the world when he's sleeping so i think he doesnt get irritated with it...takes calling his name a few times in the morning to even get an eye open 'S'
