: i'm glad you decided to not give the gelcaps, btw ... at least find out more about them 1st ... : started thinking + remembered that Spike didn't have a very healthy lifestyle before meeting you ... <small><i>(+ the "mom" in me is begging to be let out! eeeeeeeeeeek *grin*)</small></i> : so ... just to remind you how important it is to have Spike checked for parasites/worms ASAP ... but also ... : have the vet do a blood test and check what the <i>"serum calcium:phosphorus ratio"</i> is ... it is VERY possible that Spike could need <i>some</i> calcium supplement <i>for a while</i> until his body is healthier ... : there IS such a thing as <b>too much</b> calcium tho and if at all possible, i'd have blood tests done 1st to find out where Spike's at right now and THEN decide ... : <b>if</b> Spike <b>does</b> need some extra calcium ~ use good ol' simple "TUMS" tablets ... in <small><small>SMALL</small></small> amounts tho! lemme know if you need any more "mom-opinions" ... *grins* : how're you + Spike doin' anyway???? : Bon. + iZ
