God it's aful... My friend's got a female(??) 2.5ft common green iguana in a 3x2x1ft (lxwxh) tank. She's squeezed in there, i feel so sorry for her. and the bad thing is he won't give her to me (i've got a 65gal reptarium, and if i got her i'd get a 250..) but keeps her in there. He used to feed her ICEBERG lettuce with some romaine lettuce. Like the salad packs you fing in the store. you can even make out her ribs... poor thing! her heat rock doesn't work, and when i pointed this out to him he just shrugged. aaarrrrggg..... hopefully i'll be able to get her soon and find a proper home (maybe mine...). all these little kids get iguana's and never expect them to get so big. and when they do (if they don't die of malnutrition, stress, etc... first) they just give them to animal shelters (who usually euthanise[spelling??] them becasue they can't find a home) or let them spend their days in agony in a was-too-small-cage-4-years-ago fish tank to spend the rest of their days. hopefully someday someone'll put a stop to this, or make people aware!
