when i got my iguana, Gibil, he was really into hissing and lashing his tail....but i knew he had to have time to adjust, especially since he was in about a 6'x5'x3' cage with 6 other iguanas and only one bowl of food they were supposed to 'share'....but now he's happier it seems, and he's calming down a lot...usually it is just fear and not nastiness
