You need to take a fresh stool sample to the vet to be checked for worms and parasites.
Sometimes they go off food when their environment has changed and they are scared and upset. If you can talk to the previous owners to find out what he was fed before this would be helpful too. You may have to mix some of his old food in with his new food until he gets used to your diet.
A healthy diet should have calcium rich veggies like collard, mustard, turnip greens, dandelion. Other good greens to mix in would be endive/escarole, watercress. Add some squash and a little fruit (melon, berries, mango)
I would take him to a QUALIFIED herp vet for a checkup-- he could possibly use a shot if his appetite doesn't pick up.
