: Friday August 10 01:39 PM EDT : Pets Left To Die In Cages At Monona Store : The Dane County Humane Society rescued dozens of animals from a Monona pet store Thursday. : But for some pets, it was too late. : Officials found numerous pets dead inside their cages at Acquarius Pets. : A spokesperson for the Humane Society says they've been investigating the pet store for some time, and had talked to the owner about treatment of the animals. : The store was in shambles and up for sale, News 3 reported. : Some of the animals had been dead for quite a while. : "There were quite a few snakes, there were a number of iguanas, a lot of fish, some smaller mammals like rats and hamsters," said Mary Paul Long of the Dane County Humane Society. : The owner may face charges.
