can you really mean, its better for an iguana to die and SUFFER on the way to that death, just to teach some jerk pet shop owner a lesson not to buy them??? maybe everyone here isnt doing things just the way the 'experts' think they should be done, but at least theyre trying with love in their hearts for these creatures so abused by idiot humans...i know the place i got mine will continue to take in as many as they can get because there will always be people to sell to....if you want to put your energy into legisltating a law forbidding the sell or ownership of iguanas then THAT is the only thing that will cut down on the slow torture of these sweet creatures. But please dont tell well-meaning people who come to this forum for help, that they are part of the problem and not the cure...YOU are causing iguanas to be abandoned or not taken in, in the first place by making novices feel bad or insecure about what theyre doing.....let the iguanas 'die' so the cruelty will stop???...it'll never stop as long as a dollar can be made off them....please just stop giving such total self-righteous preachings to people who are only trying a little bit to help even though they'll make mistakes along the way.
