: im sorry for your loss, i hope others who keep rats read what happened...also know that rats can be equally dangerous to snakes who consume them...many snakes have been attacked by rats becausse the owner didnt know the snake was in or entering their dormant state when they dont take food...rats tend to be voracious eaters and aggressive at times...dont mean to get off the subject of iguanas, but i know some people have a variety of reptiles they keep.

i know what you mean they can be aggressive .my uncle raises snakes and when he feeds them rat he breaks off the rats teeth incase the snakes doesnt eat it right away.and the ra5t wil hurt and even kill some snakes.so i do hope people read this as well about keeping rats near reptiles.i am getting ris of them all i got 8 babies 4 adults that i am trying to give a way today.
thanks
