1. Can you get female iguanas spayed?
yes. But *any* surgery has it's risks, *especially* surgery on a smaller animal and even *more* so when that animal is a reptile ... so, yes they "can" be spayed, but the decision to do so should be one made after plenty of serious consideration ...

5. Do you guys let your iguanas free roam your room?
in the summer months when the entire house is 80+ degrees, iZ gets to roam from his room, across the hall into MY room during the day while i'm at work ~ it's NOT easy to keep 2 rooms ig-safe! *grin* ... also in the warmer months, he roams around *supervised* downstairs after his bath + supper ...

6. If you do, does your iggy ever sleep on your bed? (I'd be afraid I'd roll over and crush him.)
i DO know people who share their bed with their ig ... when iZ was small, i was too afraid like you, that i'd roll over on him ... now that he's a big boy + i know what having his tail just brush against my bare leg does??? ummmm ... he can sleep in HIS room! (hubby appreciates that, btw)

now's the time to be asking questions, before you bring an ig into your life!
and don't let the 11 yrs thing intimidate you! it only *sounds like* forever ... :)
