I know for a fact that it is NOT toxic. I have checked a site list with an extensive list.. unfortunately I don't have the link off-hand, but I know my Ig takes a bite out of it every now and then. It is tough and fibrous and I'm sure it doesn't taste pleasant, so he really doesnt bother it that often other than when it gets shredded from him climbing on it.
