I have a question about reptile vets...Wouldn't I need to find one that only see reptiles? If they're also a cat/dog vet wouldn't that mean they're knowledge on reptiles be limited? I just called one of the vets in my state that was listed on "Herp Vet Connection" thinking I was going to be talking to a reptile vet but come to find out they're no different than the vet I've been taking my ig to anyway. They're a cat and dog vet that sees iguana also. I'm curious if there is vets out there that see reptiles only and how many have to use a cat/dog vet for their iggy too. If anyone knows of a reptile only vet in Indiana could you let me know...I dont' want to drive to a vet that's hours away only to pull up to a vets office full of mammals...I've got one of those about 20 mins from my house. Thanks for any help.
