Do igs go blind in the wild from looking at the sun ??

According to Hatfield's book, igs can actually SEE in the UV spectrum which tells me that their eyes have somehow adapted to prevent any damage from UV radiation. That being the case, the warning on the bulbs is more for the dumb "human" species....;)
Ever try and look at a ZooMed for any length of time ? Hurts doesn't it.... For awhile after Mel's enclosure was built I was constantly getting headaches around the house. Turned out it was from all of the UV floating around here. Slowly my eyes got used to it - wore sunglasses around for awhile...no more headaches. Now, the Actives don't have that much of a random throw. They're pretty much a straight throw from the end of the bulb. Very little sidewards "bleed" if any according to David Krughoff(www.myiguana.com).
