Spiny tailed iguanas range through out Mexico extending to Central America. Care is basically the same as GGI's, with a bit less humidity. Real plants are a waste of time, and money, they will just eat them. Some species can grow to 4 feet in length. Supplement their diet with some animal protein once in a while. Ctenosaurs are mostly terrestrial, but some are very good climbers. These animal are skittish and bite hard, but with frequent handling, they do tame down some. Some owners think that they are smarter than green iguanas, and have more personality.
