I don't know anything about reptiGlo lights...I use the zoomed 5.0 light (I lucked out and picked a good one, it was the most expensive at petsmart so I figured it must be the best they had). I don't use any supplements but if I had to use something for calcium I would choose Tums. They're easy to find and many people have agreed they're good to use. I believe these are used once a day. Probably 1/2 a tablet or so crumbled up onto the top of their food.
I guess ig's can be expensive if not kept healthy. Just hang in there, once you get your little girl's health back in order the expenses should slack off a bunch. I was lucky enough that both my ig's were healthy when I got them so the vet bills have been kept very low. I'm not sure about how your vet will charge for the x-ray (check-up charge or not). I can say I've had one of my dogs x-rayed once and the only charge was for the x-ray. Call your vet and ask...tell them you don't want a check up since one was just done but only the x-ray. If they don't do a check-up I don't see how they could charge you for it.
