: to educate people....i let them pet him, explain what he is and who he is...i have yet to have a problem with anyone...(if there were problems, i wouldnt take him out)even the few people who do not want to pet him, are interested in what he is and especially what he eats.....as soon as they ban pitbulls and all other big dogs in public (i was attacked by a saint bernerd once, and still have several deep scars in my thigh and buttocs)(i have dog issues and are forced to deal with peoples dogs)......ill stop taking my reptiles in public....
