I guess I knew all along, and I just needed back up! Thank you. I think this vet is great with the dog, and he is VERY nice. He wants to help out with exotics, but these guys really do require a specialist. I luckily have a very good herp vet less than an hour away, who also works with a local zoo. I will get JJ in to see him. (I never should have tried to find one closer...)

As for sex, I will wait and see. My "mom" instinct says male, but I've been surprized before. I don't care, as long as he/she is healthy. Both sexes have plusses and minuses. Hmm, would I rather deal with male aggression or worry about egg retention? I guess nature will let me know soon enough! (They grow so fast...)

Once again, thank you all so much. (although I bet JJ will not be so glad about the needle stick!)
