VERY important for loads of reasons! it's good to know that your ig is sending you the "i'm STRESSED + i wanna BITE something" message from 5' away for instance!
: color changes can also be a valuable indicator of how the ig is feeling physically ~ when it's got a tummy ache, etc ...

: and it's also REALLY nice to to see the coloration that you KNOW means your ig is just plain HAPPY!!!!!!!
