Sounds like you should find a new vet~ It doesn't sound like he is not to confident to even take blood tests on an iguana? He would not be able to tell the sex by just looking at it~ He would have had to probe it~ Which is not very nice for the iggy~ its better just to wait~ I would go with your instinct and go to the other vet~ good luck~
