I hate to see neglected and abused animals~ I have been to the closest petco to me(about an hour and a half away) It didn't have the worst conditions i have ever seen but defenitly not the best. Its animals were a bit overcrouded~ with alot of species stuck in together. They did however have clean conditions~ and people in that department who knew what they were doing~ As for some other petstores I have been to it was something out of a horror movie! The way i deal with these stores is #1 i report them to every authority i can~ including writing letters! I take pics of these conditons(the usual response to this is you don't have permission to take pics!) I talk to the mananger(usually the manager isn't there of course) So i talk to the people there and explain to them about how you are supposed to keep reptiles and how its illegal to sell sick animals~ Also i let them know that i am going to report them and that they better clean up there act~ I NEVER buy anything at these stores!!~ But i do check back to see if things have improved!~ There are plenty of good petstores and that is where i spend my money~ seeing animals suffering in these stores and not being able to do much about it is horrible!~ Why are these laws not enforced?????? that is what sucks!!
