In Reply to: my iguanas always changing color posted by zach on July 18, 2001 at 15:43:48:
Iggy is about 3 mos old now and I am noticing the same type of thing. (I posted yesterday on this very topic!) He is normally very green and his head is copper - brownish color...but he changes with mood, temp, or SOMETHING... he gets his stripes REAl dark sometimes, sometimes his head is all green (no copper color) sometimes he looks more "olive" than bright...and today I noticed he had these really dark blue-green regions on his face around the snout after just a half an hour of outdoor time. (Like an INSTANT color change) - and he does get an orangish tinge once in a while too...
My others never did changed color like this - but they were older. How old is your iguana?
: i dont know if this happens to everyone but one of my iguanas changes his color quite a bit some minutes hes a bright green then hell turn a dark green or orange and sometimes he turns gray and a few months ago he was a real brilliant green with a silver head and orange arms i was just wondering if everyones iguanas change colors like that i have 3 iguanas and hes the only one that changes so dramaticaly and so often
: thank you in advance for your replys
