You know it is really strange...he can change all his colors according to mood. so I thought i would bring him out for some sun (we do this regularly) and watch his colors. His body gets darker green and his head stayed pretty brown - the front of his face, though (and some at the top of his head) turned a really deep green-blue color in patches...After his bath/soaking I noticed the brown wasn't as brown - but more a "copper" color with a bunch of green mixed in (plus this is when his body stripes REALLY come out) - and earlier to day his head looked almost all green with just some of that copper color. I guess he is more like a 'mood ring' than i have given him credit for. **smiles** Amazing to see the variations. I have never had a young iguana before to see these stages of development, so ths is all new to me. I can't help worrying once in a while. My others all came to me after a year of age - and each had health issues, so 'normal' for them isn't really 'normal'...

Thanks again...I am feeling better today. (I love this forum)

: he looks fine to me. If the area doesn't look damaged but just is turning brown, your lizard is growing up! They change all kinds of colors...you never can tell what you will end up with ;-)
