First. let me take a minute to wish you and yours a wonderful, blessed, overflowing New Year!! Happy and healthy for human and lizardkind!!
Now... I've been thinkin'...I may go ahead and make an enclosure for Cleo that's sort of indoor/outdoor...tho I'm sure she won't get to try the outdoor part for awhile! I was wondering...if you keep an iguana outside in the summer, do you roof the top of the enclosure, or leave it screened (Or wire, or whatever)? Would screening material be best? or something stronger, like wire? Do you still need a night light, or something, for warmth at night, or just bring her back inside?
Have I written a millions questions yet? :o)
I was just thinking about the best way to make her a nice outdoor cage, since sunshine is so important. We live in Alabama, so humidity won't be a problem!
The best part is that if I put it where I wanna put it, I can use a window of our sunroom, so she could come back inside whenever she wanted to.
She is becoming sweeter and sweeter, all the time...but, one more thing.....she doesn't seem to be a real active lizard....she sleeps/suns most all day, and seems perfectly content to just stay on her shelf over the couch. I was wondering if this is normal, or should she be more active? She eats well...I have had to go to feeding her twice a day. Greens, mostly...I had gotten a little slack on the veggies, but after reading about the different diets used here...I think I will go back to adding more veggies & fruit.
Well...that's all I can think of for now....I've sorta been saving this up for awhile.....ACTUALLY...I drank too much Pepsi last night...couldn't sleep, and lay in bed all night thinking, thinking, thinking.......(too much caffeine!)
Thanks in advance!!
Lorry & Cleopatra (Queen of the Sunroom)
