Our enclosure we just finished is the size you described. It houses a 9 month old who was 25 1/2" long but since his tail release is now only 11" long. Although his enclosure might be too small once he gets older it's only closed in on 3 sides. The front is all open so he can come and go as he pleases. He hasn't decided to come out on his own yet but I feel after he's larger he'll roam more.
