Iguanas are nor prone to disease IF cared for properly. Like any other animal, they can have problems like cancer, but most illnesses are caused by aquiring a $15 pet and not researching the care. Believing the pet store is the most common health threat. Iguanas like puupies, need to be checked for worms. Females in captivity have have problems with eggs. Males have get aggressive.
Like I said before, the average iguana up for adoption is a 3 year old who is 3 feet long. He probably eats kale and broccoli and uses calcium spray. He may get larger but not much larger.
