Repetition is the key to training iguanas, for potty-training fill a container up with lukewarm water and put them in it. You need to do this EVERYDAY at the SAME TIME, like when you wake up fill the container and put him in it, then give his breakfast and let him roam. Eventually he will automatically go to the "litterbox" every morning when he wakes up. For proofing a home, think of child proofing it and then multiplying those efforts by 5 (igs can go under couches, up curtains, sometimes reach the top of entertainment centers, etc). Iguanas eat alot of foreign bodies (coins, etc.) so you need to be dilligent about keeping them away from your iggy. You CANNOT let him freeroam outside, they WILL wander and you may never see him again the only exception would be if you had a fence that an ig could'nt climb over, dig under, or go through, AND if you did'nt have any trees that they could "fly" from to another tree outside the fence. Hope I helped some, Jasz and Andromeda

: i have a young green iguana, but he is steadily growing larger, and i want to be able to let him free roam around my house. but i don't know anything about potty traing, or iguana proofing my house, so he'll be safe. also, what is the best way to let him roam outside for a while, and still be safe?
