All this talk of male iguana's and female hormones reminds me of this picture of Benny when he was in heat. A second earlier and his tongue would have present on my daughter's nose!! During this time he was also quite friendly with my wife as well (Much to her shock). Normally he only allows myself to hold him and touch him with the occational scratch from Amanda.

: it makes more sense that a *hormonal* male ig would react to a human female's hormones/pheromones ... instead of a male ig just reacting "any ol' time" to human female's hormones ~ which is what most articles i've read *seem* to imply ...

: would be interested in other's observations ...

: and to confuse things as much as possible ~
: i've learned with iZ that what may appear to be "mating season behavior" on the surface, is sometimes something else altogether ... jealousy, illnesss, etc. ... another topic for another day perhaps ...
