I have never heard of an Ig with an abscessed tooth but won't belabor the point. Igs normally shed their teeth many times during their life (FYI). My guess is you are dealing with a bacterial cause since you now have symptoms on the other side. This normally involves taking a deep tissue sample by withdrawing it into a syringe. Sorry, I don't remember what the process is called. The sample is then analyzed at a lab to determine the type of bacteria to be treated. If your Vet does not have more training in herps than the normal few hours spent in Veterinarian school you might consider trying to find someone more experienced. Best of luck to you and let us know how it goes. Iguana03
