However, while they are arboreal, in the wild the iguanas are not continously at the highest point that they could attain in the trees.
I believe an important part of a good enclosure is the ability for the iguana to have access to many different levels. They can go up to get warmed up, and middle ground perches should provide both a different temperature range, and keep them off the ground and happy.
Mine do not seem to care that they are not always at the upper most point, so long as they do not need to be at ground level just to cool off.
